What we collect
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message. We use it to reply to you and, if the conversation leads to work, to carry out that work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch and, once you become a client, performance of our contract with you.
The contact form does not store your IP address or browser details.
When you browse the site
Nothing. We do not run analytics or any other tracking on this website, and we do not build a profile of you here or across other sites.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies on visitors’ devices. WordPress sets cookies only for the small number of people who log in to administer the site.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of suppliers who process information on our behalf: our website host, the tooling that runs the contact form, and Microsoft, which provides our email and our appointment booking page. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. Some operate outside the UK, in which case the transfer is covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years from our last contact, then deleted. If you become a client, records connected with the work are kept for seven years after the engagement ends, which is the period we need for UK accounting and tax purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email hello@joinedupdata.io and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. This version replaces any earlier one.
